In India vegetables are cultivated largely so there is no scarcity of vegetables in India, there are many types of vegetables that are grown and produced in India.

If you are a veg lover or any other person whether from India or outside it is interesting for you to know these veggies, i am living in India and i am very much aware of what grows in this country and how it is good to you.

For a clear understanding, I will tell you the names of vegetables in English as well as in Hindi. I am dividing vegetables into their names, the region where they grow most, and nutrition.

Vegetables in Indian food

Indian people love to eat vegetables and fruit as these are grown widely in India. The most common food vegetable like tomato, potato, and onion is eaten almost daily. These are used with other different vegetables, and their main use is to improve taste and frying purposes.

The daily vegetables in Indian food are mostly vegetables, pulses, which are eaten with rice and chapatis. If you are an Indian you can relate very well to what I am saying.


How can I start vegetable farming in India?

For vegetable farming, you must have a piece of land in which you cultivate vegetable plants for that you have to sow seeds in the soil or can also buy already matured plant from the market and then put these plants’ roots under the soil. Provide enough nutrition for plant growth and water two times daily in summer days in winter you can adjust accordingly.

What are the seasonal vegetables in India?

Most of the vegetables are seasonal in India the off-season vegetable you eat has the most chances that these are stored in the previous season in cold storage. Some seasonal vegetables like bottle gourd’s season are from February to July, Beetroot is from October to November.

What vegetables grow in Goa?

There are many vegetables that are grown and cultivated in India. Some of them are methi, garlic, onion, spinach, cabbage, tomato, ladyfinger, brinjal, cauliflower, etc. are some well-grown vegetables of goa. Some of these cultivated in plain areas while others in fields.

What vegetables grow in 30 days?

If you bury these vegetable seeds into the soil these will evolve and develop vegetables in 30 days, vegetables like Spinach, Lettuce, Radish, Turnip greens, Spring onions.
